The Art of Contrarian Movement

In my opinion, one of the hardest things in life to do, is to go against the grain. When the herd is going left, you should be considering going right. When they are saying red, you should be considering calling black, generally speaking.

Truly since birth, I'd suggest we are more or less programmed to follow the herd through so much of what we watch and read. And usually we do, until the first time we go over the cliff with them. Then we ask ourselves "Why did I just do that? That didn't seem like such a great idea?" But you did it anyways.

In the markets we say "buy the dips" as an example, though I'd suggest that buying the dip is one of the hardest calls to make because everyone else and every other energetic indication suggests you are standing out on your own in a windstorm. But, I will tell you from experience, that if you can find the strength and the courage to make these kinds of calls, both in the markets, and your life, you can be vastly rewarded.

Yesterday we had one of the biggest 1 day drops in the market ever. Every instinct is to panic sell everything and head for the hills ready for the apocalypse. Did you?

Today we are still here, where I'd suggest facts, fundamentals, and real business and investment opportunities will again rule the day. Moral of the story? Find the courage to trust your own judgement and take action upon it in your life, every day, even when everyone else is running the other way.
